BIO

Ricardo Diaz, a Los Angeles-based cinematographer, has worked on award-winning feature films, television, documentaries, and commercials worldwide. His narrative feature credits include “First Girl I Loved,” which won the Next Audience Award at the Sundance Film Festival, and “Brian Banks,” which won the Best Fiction Film Audience Award at the LA Film Festival. His foray into genre earned him critical praise for his work on Legendary and Netflix’s “Texas Chainsaw Massacre.” This led to work on the global sensation “Stranger Things” seasons 4 and 5. In 2023, he photographed HBO’s visually avant-garde “Winning Time: The Rise of the Lakers Dynasty,” which earned him an ASC Award nomination for his episode “The Second Coming.” His commercial clients include ATT, Lowes, Dollar Shave Club, Hollister, Angi, Salesforce, The Boys & Girls Club, Famous Footwear, and Proactiv, for whom he shot their 2017 Super Bowl spot starring Olivia Munn. Ricardo holds a B.S. in Film from the University of Texas and an M.F.A. in Cinematography from The American Film Institute Conservatory.
